Foundations of Procurement: best practices and risk management
The success of an organization’s ability to procure goods and service in accordance with donors’ requirements and implementing country laws depends on the organization having appropriate standards for procurement. Procurement risks are high. Thresholds for purchases, mechanisms to do procurements, conflict of interests and gift acceptance standards, procurement transaction procedures ensure accountability and reduce the
risks.
This course guides participants through the donor procurement requirements, provides the structure for organizations to build procurement standards, demonstrates best practices for how to apply the requirements in practical situations and addresses audit and compliance accountability concerns in procurement.
